Chaplain Dwight Williams

I grew up in central Indiana, served 4 years in the United States Navy during which I became a Christian June 12, 1955. I graduated from William Penn College with a major in Business and Religion and a minor in Psychology during which time I married Carolyn Gano and then attended Indiana University School of Law. God has blessed us with 2 godly children and their spouses as well as 3 grandchildren.  I was employed 37 years in the insurance business during which time I was ordained to the Gospel ministry and served 18 years as pastor of a rural country church in Boone County, Indiana.  I graduated from the first Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department Reserve Academy in 1972.  I am a member of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Merit Board and the Sheriff’s Chaplaincy Board.  I enjoy the opportunities to serve the Lord and our department as an Associate Chaplain.
